1. What these technologies are

Cookies are small text records stored by your browser. Anno also uses local storage, which lets the browser remember a setting on your device without sending that setting with every web request. This policy covers both cookies and similar browser technologies used on annopb.com.

2. Essential storage

Essential storage is used to provide features you request and is not controlled by the analytics setting.

• Authentication: An encrypted ASP.NET authentication cookie keeps you signed in and carries the credentials Anno needs for authenticated server requests. It uses a sliding expiration of up to 30 days.
• Security: ASP.NET antiforgery cookies help verify that form submissions came from Anno and protect against cross-site request forgery.
• Affiliate preference: anno_ebay_affiliate_optout remembers for up to one year if a signed-in member disables eBay affiliate attribution.
• Appearance: anno-theme in local storage remembers day or night mode.
• One-time announcements: local storage records when you have seen or dismissed the giveaway announcement so it does not repeatedly interrupt you.
• Privacy preference: anno-privacy-preferences-v2 in local storage records your separate analytics and advertising choices, policy version, and timestamp used by Cookie Settings.
• Signup attribution: anno-signup-attribution-v1 in session storage temporarily preserves campaign parameters such as UTM values and a Facebook click ID while you navigate to signup. If you create an account, Anno stores those first-touch values with the account for internal campaign reporting. Session storage is cleared after signup or when the browser tab closes.

3. Google Analytics

Anno uses Google Analytics 4 to measure visits, referring pages, device and browser characteristics, and interactions with pages and features. This helps us diagnose problems and decide what to improve. We configure the tag with advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalization, Google Signals, and advertising-personalization signals disabled.

When analytics storage is enabled, Google Analytics may set cookies including _ga and a property-specific _ga_* cookie. These cookies distinguish browser visits and may remain for up to two years unless you delete them or turn analytics off. Anno does not intentionally send your name, email address, Anno ID, message contents, locker contents, payment details, or precise location to Google Analytics.

4. Meta Pixel

When you enable Meta advertising in Cookie Settings, Anno loads the Meta Pixel for Pixel ID 2377418589452695. The Pixel records a PageView when a page loads and records a CompleteRegistration event after a completed signup. Meta may receive information including your IP address, browser and device details, referring URL, pages viewed, timestamps, Pixel identifiers, and configured interactions.

Meta may use cookies including _fbp and _fbc, or similar technologies, to recognize a browser or device, attribute visits and conversions to our ads, help create advertising audiences, and optimize advertising delivered through services such as Facebook and Instagram. Meta processes this information under its own terms and Privacy Policy.

5. Your choices

You can use the Cookie Settings link in every page footer to control product analytics and Meta advertising separately. Both are disabled until you enable them. Turning analytics off sends a denied analytics-storage state to Google and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies from the current Anno domain. Turning Meta advertising off revokes Pixel consent, prevents the Pixel from loading on later pages, and removes accessible _fbp and _fbc cookies from the current Anno domain.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Anno treats it as an opt-out of optional analytics and advertising and does not let the on-page control override that signal. You can also manage certain advertising preferences through Meta Ad Preferences.

6. Third-party features

Some pages use services such as Firebase authentication, Mapbox, Google Maps, Stripe, Veriff, eBay, or content-delivery networks. Those providers may receive technical request information such as an IP address, browser details, and the requested resource when you use the relevant feature. A provider may use its own cookies or storage according to its terms and privacy notice.

7. Managing browser storage

Most browsers let you inspect, delete, or block cookies and site data. Blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in, saved preferences, forms, maps, or other requested features from working. Clearing site data will also clear your saved privacy choices, so the control may appear again.

8. Changes and contact
